Payments
How do payments work?
Connect your own Stripe, Square, or PayPal with Venmo and charge a deposit or the full amount at booking; the money goes directly to your account. The booking only confirms once payment clears, which cuts no-shows. Refunds and receipts are handled for you, and you can sell pre-paid session packages and offer discount codes.
Does magtyne take a cut of my revenue?
No platform fee on your bookings. You connect your own Stripe, Square, or PayPal account, so the money and the payout go straight to you.
What about deposits vs full payment?
Set it per service: free, full payment up front, or a deposit now with the balance settled at the meeting. Each cadence type carries its own price and currency, and its own cancellation and reschedule policy.
AI receptionist & plans
Is AI included with cadence?
Yes. The AI chat receptionist is in every paid plan from Pro up (on the booking page on Pro; on your website and WhatsApp too from Growth), and the AI voice receptionist that answers calls is in AI Front Desk, Business, Agency, and Enterprise. Free has no AI receptionist.
Which plan includes the AI receptionist?
Chat: Pro and up. Voice, the one that answers the phone and the website call button: AI Front Desk ($129 a month, 500 minutes) and every plan above it.
How does AI voice usage work?
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI voice minutes. We count every call in seconds on our side and show you minutes: included, used, remaining, and any overage. Nothing is unlimited.
What happens when I use all my included minutes?
The receptionist stops taking new calls and takes messages instead, unless you have switched overage on. With overage on, extra minutes are billed at your plan's rate: $0.18 on AI Front Desk, $0.15 on Business, $0.12 on Agency.
Can I use cadence without AI?
Yes. Free, Pro, and Growth run the full booking journey without the voice receptionist, and the chat receptionist can be switched off in your settings.
Can the AI receptionist book appointments?
Yes. It checks your live cadence availability, books the right service, sends the confirmation, and can reschedule or cancel within your rules.
Can the AI receptionist transfer calls to a human?
Yes. When a caller asks for a person, or when it is unsure, it hands off: it takes a message with the caller's details and the conversation lands in your inbox for a person to follow up. Live transfer to a phone line arrives with the phone rollout.
Can I connect my existing calendar?
Yes. Google and Microsoft calendars sync both ways on every plan, Free included: one calendar on Free, two on Pro, and as many as you need from Growth up. So the receptionist only ever offers times that are really open.
Can I change plans?
Anytime, from Settings. An upgrade starts right away and you only pay the difference for the rest of the month. A downgrade starts at the end of the billing period.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from Settings and your plan runs to the end of the period, then the workspace returns to Free with your data intact.
Can agencies manage multiple businesses?
The Agency plan runs up to ten businesses under one account, each with its own receptionist, workspace, and usage, with centralized billing. Talk to us to set it up.

What happens after the 14-day trial?
You keep your account on the free plan (with a small magtyne cadence badge on public pages). Upgrade anytime to restore white-label and premium features. Nothing is deleted.
What does the AI actually know about my business?
tyne and mag are the same assistant with two voices: tyne is warm and concise, mag is bright and friendly. Either way it answers using only your workspace: your services, availability, policies, and pages. The receptionist can quote live availability to your clients, real open times read from your calendar at the moment they ask, and when a client picks one it books it right in the chat through the same safeguards as your booking page. You control what it can say, and your data is not used to train public AI models.
Where is my data stored?
In a secure, managed database, with each workspace kept apart from every other. Two-factor authentication and an audit log are built in.
Is it accessible?
WCAG 2.2 AA across the product, with the public booking flow held to a higher bar that is keyboard-complete and screen-reader correct.
How is my data protected?
Role-based access control, an audit log of every change, per-tenant data isolation, encrypted integration tokens, and rate limiting are built in from day one. Enterprise adds SAML SSO and SCIM, enabled on request.
