Getting started
Who is magtyne cadence for?
Appointment-based service businesses: consultants, clinics, salons, home services, agencies, coaches, and any team that lives on bookings.
How long does setup take?
A few minutes. The onboarding wizard walks you through setting your hours, creating your first cadence type, and copying your booking link. You can take a real booking the same day, no card required for the 14-day trial.
Do I need technical experience?
No. Everything is configured in the dashboard, and the built-in AI assistant (tyne or mag, whichever voice you choose) can draft workflows and booking pages from a plain-language request. You review and publish.
Do clients need an account?
No. Booking pages are public and take under a minute to use. The person booking only ever sees your brand, never a magtyne login wall.
Can I keep my existing calendar?
Yes. Connect Google or Microsoft and your real availability is respected: busy times are hidden automatically and new bookings sync back to your calendar.
Teams & clients
Does it work for a team or multiple locations?
Yes. Invite members, set per-member availability, use round-robin or collective events, and route each booking to the right person. The Business plan includes 3 seats, then it is per seat.
Can clients pick a service, provider, or time themselves?
Yes. Each service has its own page, availability, intake, and rules, and routing forms send clients to the right service when they are not sure which one they need.
Can clients reschedule or cancel themselves?
Yes, from the manage link in their confirmation email, within the cancellation and reschedule policy you set per service.
Scheduling & meetings
How are time zones handled?
Every time is stored as a single moment and shown in each person’s own zone, so host and client always agree on when the meeting is. The picker is keyboard-complete and screen-reader correct.
What meeting types are supported?
One-on-one, group, collective, and round-robin events, plus meeting polls to find a time across several people. Locations can be Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, Webex, phone, in person (with travel-time estimates), or a free native magtyne room.
Does it handle virtual and in-person appointments?
Both. Video runs on Google Meet, Teams, Zoom, Webex, or the built-in room. Phone works too, and in-person services support travel time and service-area rules.
Are meeting links generated automatically?
You choose. Turn on automatic link generation per cadence type, or leave it off and generate the link with one click when you are ready. Either way it lands on the confirmation and the calendar invite.
Is there an AI notetaker?
Yes. Tap record during a native magtyne meeting and it captures a live transcript (live transcription needs Chrome or Edge). Afterward the notetaker writes the echo: a summary with action items, generated with your AI key or the included AI allowance. It is on by default per cadence type and can be turned off.
White-label & branding
What does white-label mean here?
Every visual detail (colors, fonts, corner radius, logo, even the transactional emails and your own booking domain) reads from one token set per company. Change it once and the whole product re-skins, with no code change. Contrast is validated on save so your palette stays accessible.
Whose brand do clients see?
Yours. Paid plans put your logo, colors, and domain on everything, so clients see your business, not ours. The free plan shows a small magtyne cadence mark on public pages.
Can I send email from my own domain?
Yes, on paid plans. Verify your sending domain once and booking confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups all go out from your address, not ours.
Can I put it on my own domain?
Yes. Point a subdomain (for example book.yourbrand.com) at your workspace and the whole booking experience runs there under your brand.
Payments
How do payments work?
Connect your own Stripe, Square, or PayPal with Venmo and charge a deposit or the full amount at booking; the money goes directly to your account. The booking only confirms once payment clears, which cuts no-shows. Refunds and receipts are handled for you, and you can sell pre-paid session packages and offer discount codes.
Does magtyne take a cut of my revenue?
No platform fee on your bookings. You connect your own Stripe, Square, or PayPal account, so the money and the payout go straight to you.
What about deposits vs full payment?
Set it per service: free, full payment up front, or a deposit now with the balance settled at the meeting. Each cadence type carries its own price and currency, and its own cancellation and reschedule policy.
Automation & integrations
What can be automated?
Confirmations, reminders (email, plus SMS or WhatsApp through your own Twilio), follow-ups, review requests, and webhooks. Multi-step workflows fire on booking events, all from a no-code builder.
What does it integrate with?
Native Google Calendar, Microsoft, Zoom, Webex, Slack, and HubSpot. Zapier and n8n connect through webhooks and API keys, there is a full REST API, and an MCP server lets AI assistants book on your behalf.
Plans, security & support
What happens after the 14-day trial?
You keep your account on the free plan (with a small magtyne cadence badge on public pages). Upgrade anytime to restore white-label and premium features. Nothing is deleted.
What does the AI actually know about my business?
tyne and mag are the same assistant with two voices: tyne is warm and concise, mag is bright and friendly. Either way it answers using only your workspace: your services, availability, policies, and pages. The receptionist can quote live availability to your clients, real open times read from your calendar at the moment they ask, and when a client picks one it books it right in the chat through the same safeguards as your booking page. You control what it can say, and your data is not used to train public AI models.
Where is my data stored?
In a managed Postgres cloud database with per-workspace isolation. Two-factor authentication and an audit log are built in.
Is it accessible?
WCAG 2.2 AA across the product, with the public booking flow held to a higher bar that is keyboard-complete and screen-reader correct.
How is my data protected?
Role-based access control, an audit log of every change, per-tenant data isolation, encrypted integration tokens, and rate limiting are built in from day one. Enterprise adds SAML SSO and SCIM, enabled on request.
How do I get support?
Email support@magtyne.com, use the in-app feedback page, or start with the docs. A real person answers.
